Went Saturday night early and it was dead and we had to wait a bit for food and it was good ...our waiter was meh and that's fine cause we were busy chatting ...but took forever for ticket.
Came here today for dinner. We arrived around 5pm to beat the dinner rush but there was hardly anyone there. The boyfriend and I ended up ordering the same meal but with different sides. We both got the New York steak. My boyfriend got his steak with the baked potato and fresh vegetables. I got mine with garlic parmesan toast and mashed potatoes without the gravy. Our dishes also came with a choice of soup, salad or a cup of chili. We both opted for the chili. This was so good. It came with a cornbread muffin and crackers. We really enjoyed our food and ended up having a food coma by the time we got home. We also enjoyed the raspberry iced tea. This drink was not so sweet and tasted refreshing. Overall, food was great! Service was friendly and attentive.
Black bear Diner is always consistent. I dont get why people give it a hard time. People are struggling out in this economy. They have kept the portion sizes pretty large, but the food is still diner food. Can't complain. Came here with a couple of friends for breakfast. It was busy because it was a Sunday morning, but I felt like I it didnt take too long. The service was hella good, the girl serving us was attentive and hella nice. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with some sausage patties. They were good and was very satisfying. There's hella parking, but it's in a weird spot because the gas station and the corner of 2 freeways.
Not sure what type of bacon they use or how they cook it but I can't get enough of it. My son feels the same way about their pancakes I add bacon to any meal I order here. Just love the bacon along with everything else I have had here. Wish they would bring back the Parmesan chips
